Omar Bastaki

Omar Abdul Aziz is a banking and financial services professional with 20 years of leadership across Corporate & Investment Banking, Agency & Syndications, Treasury and Risk Management in the UAE and wider region. He brings strong strengths in governance, oversight and complex financial structuring supported by deep regional and international networks.

He previously served as Senior Vice President & Head of Agency & Syndications at Mashreq Bank overseeing more than US$25 billion in multi-bank facilities. Before this he spent over a decade at ADCB in senior investment banking roles leading advisory and capital markets mandates of more than US$4 billion. He was also selected for the Young Arab Leaders Program and has contributed to national initiatives serving as a Special Olympics Unified Partner, Mentor, and the UAE Golf Team Member.

Omar holds an Executive MBA from Cass Business School. As an Independent Director at InvestGate he brings a commercially seasoned and governance-focused perspective that supports the firm’s strategic direction, risk framework and regulatory commitments.
